Bridge Site Chosen For The Pas Across Saskatchewan River

The Pas town council, after a Musher's Banquet address by Premier Duff Roblin, selects a site for a new Saskatchewan River bridge. First choice is Fischer Avenue, with a second near the current bridge and a bypass as a third option. Land from The Pas Indian Band may be needed, Fischer Avenue to be one way north, Edwards one way south. Anticipated 1968 completion with budget funds. Also discussed possible new water supply with Minister Walter Weir, who indicated assistance may be available.
