Manitoba to Fund Lynn Lake Fox Lake Road Link
Premier Duff Roblin announced Manitoba will cover one third of the 28 mile Lynn Lake to Fox Lake road costing 250000 dollars. The project supports 3500 ton per day nickel shipments to Sherritt Gordon’s Saskatchewan operations with federal funds hoped to match Manitoba’s share. The Lynn Lake region gains a new 500 student complex opening September 1966 offering mining technology diplomas and pre employment courses, plus adult programs and vocational training.
