The Pas Curling Club calls a general meeting for Monday April 20 at 3 pm in the Curling Club Rooms. President Ernie Michayluk says it will be one of the most important meetings. Sportsmen Dinner Heads Kinsmen Easter Seals Benefit
In The Pas the third annual Sportsmen's Dinner gathers at Guy Hall from 7 p.m. to close the Easter Seal drive. Magistrate Macphee fined 21 year old Robert Edward Carl Heinz $300 and $5.50 costs for dangerous driving after a police chase through The Pas reaching 96 mph on 10 Highway. The man, who pleaded guilty, faced a mandatory jail term if unpaid and had his license suspended for six months.

Kelsey Trail Named A Manitoba Highway Route
The 10 Highway between Swan River and Flin Flon is designated the Kelsey Trail. Ceremonies in Flin Flon The Pas and Swan River unveiled signs at Devon Park and other strategic points. The event honors Henry Kelsey who, in 1690, became the first white man to reach the prairies on a route likely echoed by the current highway.

Four Day The Pas Music Festival Sees 482 Entries
Officials report 482 entries filed for the four day event from April 27 to 30. All sessions except dancing take place in the Collegiate Auditorium. Dancing sessions occur Tuesday afternoon April 28 at 1 30 in the Lido Theatre with adjudicators Mrs F Danielson for drama and spoken poetry and Mr T Gowan and Mrs F Wickburg for dancing and music.
