Juvenile Gets A Week In Jail
A 16 year old youth involved in a three person assault on Allan Offrey was held in custody and sentenced to one week in jail by Juvenile Court Judge C K Taylor. Wayne Chatrtrand, 19, and William Carrier, 18, received six months in jail on the same charge.

Death of a Child Blamed on CN Railway Negligence
A six member coroner's jury at Lynn Lake found negligence by Canadian National Railway led to the death of five year old Lucille Bighetty of the Pukatawagan Reserve.
