North Loop Highway Promotion Group Formed in Manitoba Saskatchewan

Jack Graham and Bart Kobar return from a convention to find a door smashed and a man 25 to 40 inside. A scuffle ensues, the intruder is let go after briefly demanding a coat, and Graham later notes his own coat was handed to the intruder. Police were contacted twice with unclear response.

Coyote Hunter Earl McFarlane Captures Coyotes
Earl McFarlane, a Pasqual Farming district resident, has killed about thirty coyotes this winter. The government pays a five dollar bounty per coyote. McFarlane came to the district in 1445 and has long been a devoted trapper of wolves and muskrats with coyotes as a sideline.

St Pauls Residence Opens May 20
The St Pauls Residence for senior citizens near St Anthonys Hospital on Second Street will admit up to 74 residents in 14 double and 46 single units. The Grey Nuns will manage with an admission board including Ed Sarna and Dr H C Rolfe. Forms are available at St Anthonys Hospital Guy Hall the Bishop's House Indian Affairs Branch or the Provincial Department of Welfare. No senior citizen should withhold applying due to finances.

Attempted Murder Charges Laid in Local Case

Chained dog injures child in The Pas yard
A three year old boy, Melville-Drew Shende, was bitten in the eye by a white Husky while playing at his grandmother’s home in The Pas. The dog, chained in the yard, had allegedly also bitten a delivery man in the ankle days earlier. The mother reports eye trauma and possible infection and says RCMP could not intervene since the dog was on private property.

CBC Rejects Northward TV Link Costs

Door Entry Damages Floyds Motors Vehicle Break-In
A 1T year old youth was remanded until Saturday without plea on a breaking and entering charge at Floyds Motors. Entrance was gained by breaking a window. The youth moved a half ton servo ice truck out of the garage, damaged a second vehicle, and fled. The wrecked truck was found a mile past Prospector in a ditch, the motor burned out, with total damages estimated around SLOG.
