Limited practice this week, no organized scrimmage yet, while newcomers and returnees, including talents from Freee and Salt Lake area, vie for spots ahead of a tough schedule starting September 27 at Ogden against Weber State with home games against Snow, Dixie, and Carbon later in the season.

Paragonah Mutual Social Opens With Reorganized Groups

The Paragonah Mutual Social opened Tuesday evening September 10 with a good crowd, a nice program, games, and refreshments. The Young Ladies reorganized with officers including President Pauline Topham and Secretary Treasurer Isie Prothero, while the Young Men named H E Dunton as president and Revere Angelle as first councilor. Outgoing LMIA officers were Irene Robinson and Alta Prothero. A member left for Monterey California and Miss Maxine Lund prepared for her mission after a Salt Lake training period. Ladies Night at Vermillion Castle by Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber of Commerce schedules Ladies Night at Vermillion Castle next Monday with tickets at 75 cents per plate and 10 cents per meal substitute. Parowan Society Notes Wedding and Visits

A wedding reception for Mr and Mrs David Stohl Hatch was held at Mrs Mary Marsden's home on September 7. The bride Mary Lucille Joseph is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Arthur Joseph. The couple honeymoon in Utah National Parks and will live in Denver to study at the University of Denmyer. Other guests include Rex Ward and family from Salt Lake City for the wedding, with reports of Jenn Larson and others visiting Parowan.

Free dental care for service connected Utah veterans

Veterans with service connected dental disabilities in Utah may choose any dentist in their community if VA dental clinic service is not feasibly available. Howard C. Cromar, VA Beaver representative, notes authority from the VA is required.
