Paragonah Woman Dies After Long Illness
Mrs. Topham, 62, wife of Y Topham, died last Saturday at her Paragonah home after a prolonged illness. Services were held Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Paragonal ward chapel with First Councillor Ag Topham presiding. She was born February 6, 1882, taught in local schools, and leaves her husband, one daughter Geneva Guy of Paragonah, four sons, two brothers, and four grandchildren. Funeral details included musical tributes and a cemetery dedication.

Adamsville youth Paul Griffiths Jr. 16 died in a head on crash two miles west of Greenville Beaver Press reports the car he drove from Adamsville collided with a truck owned by L E Yiddie Cedar Cry driven by Nathan Benson of the same town. Griffiths was killed instantly with a broken neck chest injuries and leg injuries. Benson escaped with minor injuries. Witnesses describe a dust obscuring visibility on a dry road. Katherine Clark Lister 70 widow of Wm B Lister died of natural causes at her daughter’s home in Salt Lake City last Saturday. She was buried in Fillmore last Wednesday at 1 pm after services in the Second Ward chapel. Survived by son Fiwin Clark Lister daughter Mrs Carlyle Smith five grandchildren and a nephew Max Hendrickson who attended the funeral with Mrs Hendrickson. Her husband died in March 1987 and is buried in Fillmore. She was born April 1874 in this city and lived here most of her life before moving to Fillmore 22 years ago.

Annual Hunt Shows Deer Herd Decreasing Across Regions
Reports from the annual deer hunt indicate a shrinking herd in the area with rebuilding needed. Dry Lakes Suc Lakes and Summit Mountain regions produced the best hunting while Bear Valley Fremont and other tracts underperformed. Peak days saw some bucks, but many areas yielded few deer, and hunters noted most sightings were in high inaccessible timber and late-season conditions. The overall trend points to a notably light year for deer across counties.
