Permits for Elk Hunting Draw Near in Utah
The elk hunting permit draw will be held at 2 p.m. on October 5 at East Lake City. A total of 281 permits will be issued with applications due by 5 p.m. Monday, October 4. Nonresident permits cost 50 and resident permits 10. Elk season runs November 11 to 20 with areas designated as temporary game preserves. All firearms except those on permits are banned and deer or elk must be checked in with wardens.
