Improvements Planned at Parowan Cheese Factory to Winter On

Parowan stockholders and patrons of the Southern Utah Dairy Co decide to continue operations through winter and invest 500 to 1000 dollars for improvements to cut costs and raise cheese quality. A Paragonah meeting is expected tonight.

Day Adams Tunnel To Be Repaired In Winter

The Day Adams tunnel at Parowan Reclamation Co. will undergo six weeks of repairs this winter. Charles Fox and Paul Adams will oversee work, adding 150 feet of pipe and re-timbering a section mid tunnel. A note about Applesauce and birthday greetings follows, then Parowan National Farm Loan Association reports a reduced interest rate to 5 percent effective November 15 1982.

Juvenile Court Arraigns Five in Thanksgiving Delinquency Case

Frank Rasmussen Carlisle Dalton and Mr and Mrs Nat Benson were arraigned in Juvenile court this week charged with contributing to the delinquency of two girls who allegedly drank with them on Thanksgiving night. They pleaded not guilty and await a hearing in the next two or three days likely Friday. The hearing title is left to the State's attorney and Durham Morris who will represent the defendants.

Mr and Mrs Leroy Nf Cox of St George visited Mrs Coxs mother Mrs Mary L Orton for Thanksgiving. A B Matheson returning from the North Rim Grand Canyon may need an operation for rupture. Everett Johnson of Beaver joined Thanksgiving dinner with Mr and Mrs P A Clark. Mr Johnson is in Beaver High School this winter and is Mrs Clarks cousin. Mr and Mrs Taylor Parkinson welcomed a baby boy born Nov 23. GC McDermond, local picture theatre proprietor, in town on business with Mrs McDermon. Mr Clark Watson traveled from St George Monday for the mid winter festival between Christmas and New Year.

Delegation from Cedar City reached an agreement with the Utah Water Storage Commission and the State Engineer to thoroughly investigate the Navajo lake situation for unappropriated water.
