A three act comedy presented by the West Ward MoLA features an all girl cast directed by Mat Kure. The performance includes a lineup of named cast members and a humorous promise with laughs galore. Attendees from both wards are invited to attend the Tuesday event with curtain at 7:30 pm.
The piece commemorates Parowan and Iron County’s centennial, recounting pioneer hardships and the 1852–1860 era events. It notes Walker’s Utah leadership, interactions with nearby tribes, early Parowan leadership, and the Deseret Iron Company’s beginnings, plus county organization acts and settlers moving toward Harmony and Virgin.
Jair Howley was offered to represent Iron and Washington counties as a potato producer on a state marketing committee. The meeting at the TAC building included W. Frame and T. Hess of the Department of Agriculture. The group endorsed a two state potato marketing agreement, voting in sixth district of seven to approve a marketing agreement, with Edward Hall named as alternate. About 100 growers attended from Iron and Washington counties.
Paragonah captures a weekend of church sacrament plans. Boyd Robinson and Hazel Jean Thvenport traveled to Pangulteh for a sacrament meeting where Boyd would speak and Hazel Jean would play the piano. A cottage meeting was hosted by Mr and Mrs. Thomas A Robinson on Friday night.
Corel Adams leads a 20 member squad into early practice as football ends. Team includes Whitmer Orton Gurr Lavin Evans Winters Harte Kaminska Henson Mitchell. First practice Dec 1 at Mongulleh, then home game Dec 2 against Panguileh returning to Purowan. Regular league starts Jan 5 and ends March 2 with listed Friday matches and some midweek duels.
Newlyweds Mr and Mrs Lowell Romberg of Paramount California spend part of their honeymoon in Parowan. The bride, the former Lakae Williams, is a granddaughter of Mrs Rebecca Miller. Various families plan Thanksgiving visits in Utah and California, including Mrs Georgia Mitchell, Dr and Mrs Rodney Palmer, Candell Orton, Marvin Skougard, Hal Thornton, and others with service members returning from Fort Lewis.
A wedding reception in Parowan marked the marriage of the young couple Mr and Mrs James Low with a gold crepe wedding dress featuring rhinestone buttons. Guests from Richfield Gunnison Cedar City and nearby towns attended as organizers and musicians offered a varied program.
Dorothy Jean Warren daughter of Eugene Warren Parawin wed Elmo C Robinson son of Chester Robinson Paragotah in a Temple ceremony officiated by Harold S Snow. The couple, amid relatives, temple attendees and a Parowan High School senior active in student publications, plan future events as the Benedict serves with the Utah National Guard at Fort.

Mutual Improvement Associations of both Wards organize a Harvest Ball at Parowan High School gymnasium on Thanksgiving night. The event, one of the budget numbers, invites the police, features special decorations, and music by the 7-Notes orchestra for dancing.
Ski Club officials warn parents to caution children about dangers around ski lift equipment. A three phase electric motor and swinging ropes pose serious injury risks. the club will not be responsible for injuries incurred at the facility.
A six pound daughter arrived at County Hospital on November 1 for Mr and Mrs Claude Jensen. This twin birth follows the earlier daughter Christine aged 2 16 months. Grandparents are Mrs John Jensen Parevan and Mr Mrs Calvin Smedley Parevan Idaho. Grandmother Smedley aids in caring for the newborn and the mother.
Centennial Communities plan a Parowan centennial program featuring a Home and Community Renovation course by Thales C. Brown and US experts. Registration is free due to ISALC.
