Utah Highways 10 To Be Marked Across Southern Utah
The Scenic Highway Association with F. D. B. Gay as secretary has permission to mark Utah highways south from Salt Lake City in tandem with the Auto Club of Southern California. Blue and white markers will guide travelers to Los Angeles Zion National Park Grand Canyon Bryce Canyon and Cedar Breaks. All main routes and Seven per cent system roads will receive uniform distance and direction signs for easy navigation. Officials predict Southern Utah will host the nation's largest tourist population between Denver and the coast within three years.

Christmas Seals Sale Opens Thanksgiving Day in Utah
The Utah Public Health Association receives the final shipment of five and a half million Christmas Seals for the 16th annual sale running from Thanksgiving Day to Christmas Eve. Utah clubs have supported health funds since 1910, with national totals reaching 900 million seals nationwide. The drive aims to raise about 50,000 dollars to combat tuberculosis, a cause funded by pennies from every man, woman, and child. E. O. Howard of Walker Brothers Bank is re elected president of the Utah Public Health Association.

Monday evening Mr and Mrs Ostler hosted the celebration for Mrs Ostlers birthday with Junior Class members presenting a string of pearls. Goiter Survey Finds 20 Percent in County Schools
A survey of three large county schools examined 1200 children and found 20 with goiter, about 40 percent of pupils from first grade through high school. The effort aims to prevent and cure early goiter with iodine treatment under physician supervision, starting with consenting parents.
