Wilcock Munford Is Buried Here
Funeral services were held Tuesday in the chapel for Mrs. Wilcock Munford wife of Thomas Munford a respected community member. A large gathering of relatives and friends attended the service conducted by the Cedar City church and included prayers songs and remarks. Survivors include eight children and numerous siblings with many relatives visiting from Parowan Salt Lake City Ely Nevada and Canada. The funeral followed a life of teaching nursing and community service during influenza years and united families across several towns.

Kanarra Ward Drive Brings $1600 for Chapel
The Kanarra Ward of the Parowan Stake held a bazaar and auction last Friday evening raising 1600 for their chapel remodeling. The event featured a bazaar lunch sale and drinks, with participants from across the stake attending. A program at 8:30 included community songs, performances by local youths and a reading, with prayers offered by Summit President Oscar Hulet.

Graveside services were conducted at the city cemetery for Datie Elizabeth Peterson 73 of Long Beach California with Bishop Jess Guymon presiding. The service followed a private funeral in Long Beach and recalled her LDS roots tracing to Scipio born 1863. She leaves three children two sons and two daughters twenty grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren with relatives traveling from Milford Englewood and Richfield to attend.

A/S Simon K Benson and Miss Darlene Marie Senter of Troy Idaho wed last Saturday at the groom's parents home in Pullman. Bishops and family witnessed the ceremony followed by a social. The couple left for Santa Ana California where Simon trains as an aviation student. Darlene, daughter of Mr and Mrs Guy Senter, has ties to Pullman and Washington State college. Simon is an Army veteran now training as a pilot at Santa Ana.
