County boards allocate funds for rural roads and school routes
The County Commission divided 33,000 from the county road fund among Parowan valley near Valley and the West end with 1,099 1,000 and 1,000 allocations. The money requires matching labor and rights of way from property owners for the Nada to Meist section. Committees from Lund Zane Beryl Cedar City and West End pressed for valley improvements and school bus routes. Former Iron County official Hendrickson dies at home
Former Iron County official Mr fyrum Martin Hendrickson, long time county commissioner and road supervisor, died at his home Tuesday after a period of poor health. Funeral services were held Wednesday at two pm in the tabernacle with Bishop Marain presiding. He is survived by two children and other relatives. his wife had died a few years ago.

Cavalry Band to Perform in Cedar City Concert
