After the county commissioners rejected a tax levy increase, the Iron County School District will fund the current program from existing levies until spring 1931. If funds run out, voters may authorize borrowing to finish the term with interest payments and a future levy increase to repay debt.
A two day farmers short course will be conducted at Branch Agricultural College on March 20 and 21 under the Utah Agricultural College Extension Division. Prof George B Caine and Dr Stewart lead discussions on feeding alfalfa cattle wool grading and more with sessions on breeding, standardization, and local economic surveys.
A sizable audience from Farowan and Paragonah gathered Saturday to discuss entering the poultry business. The meeting, led by John H. Crary Lister pleaded guilty during the week in Justice Taylos's court to a prohibition law violation. He was fined 546 dollars after being arrested with two companions holding a small quantity of mute in a bottle the night of a ball game with the B. A. G. Clair had entered a plea of not guilty, but changed it to guilty before trial and paid the fine.
