Shake Up In FLE.R.A. Administration Coming

County Commissioners forecast a major shake up in the FERA administration. They dissolved the county relief committee, formed a new one, and instructed the clerk to seek resignations from case workers including Rose N. Gardner Nellie Bf. Clark Jennie Winter-Tosa and Maggie Carpenter effective February 9. They also plan to replace County Manager Wm. R. Palmer and initiate resignations for other staff with reappointment bids open. Ted Thompson chosen as new county manager at 1800 dollars yearly pending HE.RA approval. bids to furnish three new relief offices and a large rehab room due at a special meeting tonight.

Two Suits Filed In District Court In County

Two suits were filed in the district court this week with O. C. Snow as plaintiff in both actions. The first names Carlos Bauer Ezra Rollo and others as defendants alleged to graze their sheep on land under the plaintiff's control and seeks 2070 general damages 1110 personal damages and court costs. The second suit names Burns Tebbs as defendant with demands for 700 general damages 365 personal damages and costs.

Granddaughter led tribute as Parowan resident celebrates 47th birthday

Emily Teresa Lowder known as Grandma Lowder celebrated her 47th birthday with a large family gathering at Relief Hall. Attendees included children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren from St. George Cedar City Provo Kanosh and nearby areas. A program featured singing recitations and tributes followed by a seating dinner and a birthday cake centerpiece.
