A Utah A Chapter report outlines a plan to feed a group of young people involved in a livestock program with silage and other feeds. It lists advisory contacts in Provo and other towns, notes limited funds, and requests community support to cover costs and supplies for cattle hogs and sheep.
May Lucile Morris, daughter of Mr and Mrs A M Morris of Parowan, married Barton Decker, son of Nels Decker of Clearware, at the Morris home Christmas noon. Ceremony by Bishop Jesse Corton before immediate family. Honeymoon date undisclosed. Bride studied at Parowan High. groom, Berkeley graduate, served in Japan. Future plans uncertain.
Iron County Utah Sunday afternoon a car carrying Mr and Mrs Bert J Bohn and two sons of Provo Utah rolled twice and demolished after leaving Buckhorn Flat near Henry W Lunt Memorial Park. They were en route to Tucson Arizona where Pfc. Bohn is stationed at Davis Monthan Field. A patrolman and the driver blamed excessive speed on a gravel shoulder. Three guard posts were damaged. The family rested in Parowan awaiting insurance information.
Parowan residents from Parauatah Suita and nearby areas enjoyed a four minute fireworks show by the Junior Chamber of Commerce on June 2. Mortars on the public square lit brilliant colors as crowds watched from windows and streets without incident. The group is praised for beautifying and entertaining the town while planning to move to redecorated Bank Building rooms for an office and meeting space. Baptism services are scheduled Saturday at 4 PM in the Bas tard Baptismal room, with parents urged to bring eligible children.

A recent warm spell gave way to fresh heavy snow in Parowan and nearby regions. The local observer notes temperatures rose to 66 degrees, most town snow had melted, but total snowfall since Monday reached 66 inches by Tuesday night.
Clarence Pendleton won a $10 prize from the Parowan Jaycees for the most attractive outdoor decorations and Christmas lighting display at his corner home on 1st West and Center Street. His well lighted evergreens outlined the scene on the front porch.
Dr. Peterson warns two cases of chickenpox and one of measles have been reported in Parowan in recent days. He stresses immediate reporting to him or the public health officer and urges use of free State Health Department vaccinations to prevent epidemics and protect children's health.
Daughters of the Utah Pioneers Paulina Camp announces a post meeting on January 8 at 2 pm at the Edgar Penson home. Mrs Luella Dalton will give the lesson Pioneer Water Supply. All Indies urged to attend.

Vene Orton of Beaver stayed in Parowan. Herum Boardman family from Orem came for New Year. Lt. Robert J. Halterman of the Navy Air Corps visiting with parents before returning to Alameda. Parowan High School basketball team defeated Beaver with a 37 to 31 score, leading at halftime 21 to 11. The squad dominated in the second half, finishing strong as Con Adams subbed in several players. The win wraps up their practice schedule and sets up a final game against Kanab on Friday night January 2.
Parowan honors Elder Frey W. Thornton son of Mr and Mrs Merrill Thornton after two years in the Northwestern States Vancouver Canada and Portland Oregon where he served as secretary district president and auditor. Elder Reed M. Richards son of David Kiet of Parowan received an honorable release after fourteen months in the Western Canadian mission due to a chronic sinus infection requiring treatment in Salt Lake City.
