Buckhorn Flat Car Wreck Injures Salt Lake City Family
A Ford owned by J. H. Christian of 245 Keyser Court Salt Lake City was badly wrecked Tuesday evening between Paragonah and Buckhorn. Mr and Mrs Christian and two other ladies suffered bruises but no serious injuries. The car struck a Pacific Coast Inland Transportation Co truck and rolled over after veering to avoid a wash. They were treated locally and later taken to hospital after X rays showed no serious injuries.

1931 License Plates Available in Cedar City
The Utah Secretary of State motor vehicle office in Cedar City, in the Whitaker Building, will operate until March 1 to issue 1931 license plates. The town of Parowan will on Monday February 23 celebrate the memory of George Washington and his 199th birthday while combining with the event a drive to raise funds for repairs to the city library damaged by fire. Citizens are urged to cooperate and invited to join neighboring communities.

R. R. Page Dies in Denver Hospital
Word reached local residents that former city resident R. R. Page died in a Denver hospital. His body was being sent to San Francisco for burial. No cause of death listed. He had been ill for some time and lived with his son Donald last winter. Mrs. Page and another family member have lived in San Francisco for about a year.

Service Star Legion to Disband After Years of Community Work
The Service Star Legion ends its active role citing the rise of a similar Legion Auxiliary as the reason. Members and partners enjoyed a final guitar social in the West Ward chapel, with the American Legion post thanking the group for its service. The unit helped erect a monument to ex‑service men in Puréwan Paragonah and Summit and voted to use remaining funds to improve the monument grounds.

RGAL Betterment Project Under Way
Men and teams from here and Paragonah haul gravel to improve the road between the two communities and beyond. About 1100 dollars in State funds are being used. A recent Parowan road project was completed with State and county cooperation using part of unemployment relief funds. Another improvement on Paroway lane is funded 159 dollars by the county and matched by local owners who haul gravel.

The local Daughters of the Pioneers camp will hold its next meeting at Ida Halterman’s home on March 3 at 3 30 p m.
