Search For Missing Youth Continues
Arden Heap, 17, Cedar City youth, disappeared from Hunt OH Cu service station north of Cedar City since January 25. Two men in a black 1948 Hudson seen at the station the night of disappearance. A $2,000 reward offered for information. Iron County contributed $300. The station was locked at 8 p.m. when he vanished. his car stayed at the station with keys in ignition. The cash register had about $60 missing. Police, sheriff’s deputies and residents have scoured the area from Millard County to Mormon Mesa with no solid lead.

Utah State road program plans $11 million for next year with $8 million funded by the US Bureau of Public Roads and the rest by state and counties. Parowan Main Canyon is designated $150,000 to improve about three and a half miles of road connecting with the main route. In district court, Carlos Robinson was found guilty of resisting an officer after an earlier charge, with other cases including forgery and grand larceny.

Funeral services held for crash victim Jennie Benson Williamson
Funeral services were held Monday January 30 in the Paragonah Ward Chapel for Jennie Benson Williamson 66 of Paragonah. Bishop Victor Robinson presided. Amasa Stones led the choir with Wilma Lamoreaux at the organ. The program featured life history by Ethel S. Robb, various musical numbers, and remarks by church members. Burial followed in Parowan Cemetery. She was born October 22, 1889 in Parowan and married Benson in 1908.
