Charlea Griffin sixth grade teacher at Parowan is wed to Ruth Lena Neilson of Mt Pleasant. Griffin has taught here two years and is well liked. Little is known of the bride, but the union is welcomed with wishes for happiness. Alumni Association at PHS held an all day assembly with stories readings songs and a Christmas gift for each faculty member.

Council Decides On Power and Light Rates
The City Council met Tuesday evening and approved a new power and light rate schedule aimed at increasing revenue to replace funds from the Dix Power Co. The plan consolidates metering to one meter per user, reducing duplicate wiring. An ordinance will publish the changes in the Times. The council also discussed a permanent night watchman and directed the city marshal to shut off water from the East city stream, with no prosecution for further shutoffs. Ray Bentley visited from Mil ord for Christmas with relatives here.

Mark and Flubert Jackson Charged After Jailyard Shooting
Two Tarotvan men, Flubert and son Mark Jackson, are jailed after an incident over liquor near a dance hall. The descendants of Mrs. Lovisa Mortensen hosted a social at her Boca home on Tuesday night. About thirty-five relatives attended celebrating birthdays of her late husband and Alonzo. Moonshine Arrests and Prohibition Violations
Alms Benson was arrested on Christmas Eve at a dance in the Recreation hall for possessing moonshine and pled guilty the next day, fined 50 dollars.
