Large audience enjoyed the East Ward Young Ladies Mutual Improvement Association Christmas cantata on Sunday evening. Bishop Mitchell gave the invocation. Clara Bentley spoke and Mrs. Louise Adams read from Bird's Christmas Carol. The chorus sang Silent Night and Palm Branches. The cantata On To Bethlehem by Norman Lighthill was presented by Gleaners Juniors and Bee hive girls under Georgia B. Mitchell. Soloists included Ruja Decker Katherine Clark and Heen C Mitchell. Marie Mitchell played piano. benediction by John W. Bentley.

Gun and Rod Club Dance Sets New Year Eve Ball
The Gun and Rod Club hosts its big annual dance next Thursday evening December 31 in the high school gym. Tickets include a year’s membership with camping and cabin privileges at Panegutite lake during hunting and fishing season. Two orchestras will play modern and old time dances, with Leap Year timing letting ladies choose half the time after midnight.

Parowan High Wins Three Practice Games
Parowan High School’s six foot players dominated three local practice games. They doubled or more the opponents’ scores in two games and nearly doubled in the third. Beaver and Minnersville provided solid challenges, while Friday’s Nevada visitors were routed 45 to 18. Captain Almas Bettridge led the rally as Parowan edged Beaver 27 to 16 after a tense start.

Parowan teachers host dancing party for twenty couples
Faculty members of Parowan schools and guests from Parowan and Cedar City held an informal dancing party Tuesday night in the high school gym. About forty couples attended.
