Corner Stone Laid For Industrial Plant
A ceremony Wednesday afternoon marked the corner stone lay for a proposed industrial factory three miles northwest of town. The plant aims to utilize local iron and enable heat, air conditioning, refrigeration and electricity for homes at a nominal cost. About five hundred residents attended the program featuring a high school band, prayers, songs, and speeches by local leaders including W. Clair Rowley and Attorney Joseph McKnight. Construction is planned for a 200 by 300 foot building with foundation concrete to be poured in a few days and materials already on site. Local and Salt Lake City visitors joined in the event.
