Funeral services were held in Logan for Habie Joy Ganung 18 month old daughter of George and Rue Ganung after she was fatally struck by a backing car in the driveway. Survived by parents four grandparents and great grandfather Thomas Robinson of Paragonah. Members of the Rob inson family traveled to Logan for the rites with relatives from Parowan Paragonah and Salt Lake City attending.

Summit Ward members, led by Howard Dalley as president, hosted guests including Mr and Mrs Peter St. Gurr and others. Elder Kent Hulet displayed slides from a mission in Japan, and Mrs Wilcken rendered songs with others performing. Refreshments were provided by the Summit group.

Parowan Family Injured in Layton Car Crash
A Parowan family traveling from Salt Lake City to Layton sustained minor injuries after their car was rear ended by J B Carlos of Salt Lake City on a four lane highway near north Salt Lake. Carlos was cited for careless driving while intoxicated after the collision, which occurred moments after a prior crash nearby. The Halterman family’s vehicle was the only one able to move unaided. all four cars were damaged. The Parowan couple, en route to fetch their son Kenneth, returned home Sunday.
