Boise May 27 R H Musser Assistant County Agent Leader says Idaho Farm Bureau membership has risen to about 12 000 in 1919 from 10 000 last year. He urges farmers to join to gain better livestock crops marketing and living conditions. He notes county savings of 100 000 through organized pest control and emphasizes the value of county agents and university support in farm development. Tragic Roadside Death Near Montpelier Station

Weeks ago a man was found dead on the road near Montpelier as he prepared to end his life at the wagon. The team bolted, the wagon ran over his chest and arm causing instant death. The body was sent to Montpelier for burial where the deceased has a sister living. The funeral occurs Thursday afternoon.

Zoologists report Bear Lake whitefish may be sole surviving members of an extinct Bonneville group. The study suggests these fishes could be transplanted to western lakes as potentially good stock. Bear Lake Stake Conference Draws Large Crowds

The Quarterly Conference of Bear Lake Stake gathered last weekend drawing large attendances after influenza paused sessions. Beginning June 9, District No 6 will upgrade canyon roads and seeks every able bodied man to help. Volunteers may secure free material from the National Forest, with names of canyons and dates readied for the effort.
