Montpelier Plans Large July Fourth Celebration

Montpelier will host the region’s biggest Soldier’s home-coming over July 4 and 5 with a dawn parade, fireworks, a parade of Bear Lake heroes, decorated autos, floats, and a Goddess of Liberty and Queen contest. Kemmerer’s baseball team visits for two games, a top racing program, and various contests plus a grand ball and a boxing match on July 5. Paris will join in Montpelier’s festivities, as Bear Lake residents are invited to participate.

Niebaur Day Celebrated in Sugar City Heralds Grand Tribune

Pioneer Joseph Nieibauer returned from Utah and Idaho trips and attended Sugar City homecoming for his grandson Thomas C. Niebaur. The day featured a wreath, flowers, and speeches by Governor Davis and Justice Alfred Budge, followed by games and amusements.
