Preparations are underway for the County Fair to be held October 9 10 and 11. Officials urge everyone to assist committees with exhibits across all divisions to ensure a grand display. An added feature will be races with prizes, while Tay and grain will be provided free for horses and cattle.
Warrants were issued Wednesday for the arrest of Sumner G. Meen and James L. Barber of Eau Claire Wisconsin, Lumber Co, and Harte Se Rando Burlagteé, Carin, with Senator W. B. Borah and others. They face charges of conspiracy to defraud the United States. A Boise hearing is set to answer the charges.
The Yellowstone Limited on Short Line No 15 ends next Sunday with the last run from Salt Lake Saturday night and return from the End of Track Sunday. A future park link awaits when the line reaches the park boundary and a mammoth hotel is planned. Also a timber sale in Utah's St. Charles Canyon area invites bids by Oct 20 1907 with estimates of Douglas fir Engelmann spruce balsam and merchantable timber and a $250 deposit.
