First all number calling to be used in Idaho within Parish building
Bear Lake County adopts the all number call system for Idaho's first telephone office in the new Parish building this fall with extended area service. AT&T study led to eliminating first two letters from names, replacing them with dial numerals. The change affects directory listings and memory, while the prefix rules restrict letter combos. The system will permit any number sequences, delaying future exhaustion of letter-number codes. The Parish building photo shows Donald Kunz, contractor, and William A. House, local phone manager.
