GI Bill Payment Options and Entitlements Clarified
A veteran can choose monthly installments instead of a lump sum if the period extends beyond a lump sum. The minimum is three years. payments in multiples of 12 up to 240 months are allowed. No separate child claim is needed for widows. Reemployment by the VA is not provided. Selective Service handles that. Farm equipment loans can be guaranteed or insured, except construction. A service member discharged before war may still qualify for a course of education if eligible.
