A joint social event for parents and teachers of the Paris wards is scheduled at Emerson Gym on Friday evening October 13. The gathering aims to strengthen cooperation between patrons and teachers of Paris and Fielding Rural High schools with games and social activities for all attendees.
The regular monthly joint meeting for the Parents' Classes of the wards will be held next Sunday morning at the usual time and place. The committee in charge of the meeting is listed.
A parent meeting aims to discuss the Modern Health Crusade taught in all state schools. The committee says the program is poorly understood at home and school and calls for strong parental cooperation for its success.
The supreme court issued a temporary writ September 18 restraining Judge Varian from proceeding while four officers challenge actions concerning more than 20 percent of the bank’s paid up capital and surplus. The judge may continue proceedings or face dissolution of the case.

Boise Oct. 3 The question of whether criminal proceedings against four officers of the defunct Burley State Bank will be dropped or continued will be argued in supreme court Friday. Indicted by a grand jury April 27 1922 the officers include Grover Rich president and director W L Burton and W A Budge vice presidents and directors and H H Young cashier and director. The indictment charges loans to Taylor and Sons and related firms exceeding bank capital and deposits were withheld despite insolvency and a questionable transfer to the J F Stocking Sheep Company.
