Brakeman Lose Both Legs In Freight Yard Accident
Brigham City November 14 William Sharp 85 a brakeman for the Utah Idaho Central railway lost both legs when he was run over by a freight car at 1030 this morning in the switch yards. He lies in Cooley hospital in critical condition. Witnesses said he fell between two box cars while making a coupling. Sharp is unmarried and his mother lives in Montpelier where funeral services were held in Salt Lake Tribune.

Funeral services were held Tuesday for Coulsen Pugmire 16 the son of Mr and Mrs M B Pugmire. He was killed when thrown from a horse while chasing cows near Weld St Charles. About four hundred attended the service one of Weld St Charles largest in years.

Former Soldier Karl Mcllivan Dies in Montpelier Yard Accident
Karl Mcllivan 30 of Montpelier died last Thursday at 9 30 AM in the Oregon Short Line yards in Montpelier. While switching an eastbound freight with livestock cars a passenger coach attached to the caboose telescoped into the heavy train. He was crushed against the coach suffering a mangled right leg and fatal loss of blood before physicians could help. Mcllivan was an ex service man who helped respond to the 1918 armistice in France.

16 Year Old Youth Sentenced for Patricide at Boise
A 16 year old youth was led to Boise state prison to serve 100 years to life for murdering his father Charles Ellis. He pled guilty to second degree murder after confessing to shooting during a quarrel over an auto. The body was found in an abandoned well after Charles Ellis disappeared last June.
