Native Bear Lake Man Dies After Prolonged Illness
Andrew Mattson 73 of Meadowville Utah died Friday at Bear Lake hospital Montpelier after a long illness. He was born Sept 9 1875 in Charles Idaho son of Ola and Josephine Mattson. He attended St Charles grade school Paris Idaho Fielding Academy and Utah State Agriculture College at Logan where he played varsity football for two years. He married Jessie McPherson Oct 23 1905 in Paris Idaho. Survived by widow daughter Viola Wood son Asel Mattson three grandchildren two sisters and one brother. Funeral held Laketown ward chapel with service notes and burial at St. Charles.
