The center state Republican ticket carried Carl bon county by substantial totals with Frank R Gooding at 428 leading John Nugent 180 votes. Ben Samuels finished third with 444, Agher Baldridge 1445, and Addison Smith 502. Mrs Gray district forester C Morag of Ogden Utah discusses forest management and timber sales this week.
The U S Supreme Court denies the railroad’s certiorari in the Ernest Re Gubler case from Paris, upholding an $18 personal injury award against the Oregon Short Line Railroad. Gabler, injured while installing a signal near Reverse Idaho, was found to be covered by the Federal Employers Liability Act, confirming interstate commerce involvement.
Rex Hymas ten year old son of Mr and Mrs E D Hymas Lanark was thrown from a horse Tuesday afternoon and fell on his head causing concussion. He was unconscious one and a half hours and medical aid was summoned from Paris. Latest report says he is recovering as well as could be expected.

Prof. W. O. Robinson of Salt Lake City visited Tremont City this week and conferred with church recreation workers. He advised focusing the program on baseball tennis and various activities while meeting with bishops stake officers and ward secretaries to guide dances operas plays and other events.
From 10 precincts in Franklin County Preston reports Republicans carry ten precincts electing state senator state representative assessor county superintendent of schools and three county commissioners. Democrats win in prosecuting attorney sheriff auditor recorder probate judge and treasurer. Governor Baldyage listed Republican 726 Wilson Democrat 296 Hall Progressive 2169. Senator Gooding Republican 147 Nugent Democrat 809 Samuels Progressive 188 Congressman Smith Republican 1474 Gray Democrat 314 Fair Progressive 139.
In Atlanta Georgia United States Senator Walter R George Democrat and Catholic junior senator was reelected without opposition. Governor Hardman nominated and elected to office today. The state election confirmed the summer primary result, effectively making it the final election.

Mrs Fortis formerly Miss Jennie Wilson of Randolph Utah was called to the bedsides of her parents Henry Dore and Jennie Jens in Orden Utah. She returned this week from Orden and Johnson Jens aided at the bedside of her father who died of cancer on October 14.

An unknown origin fire Sunday afternoon destroyed hay stored at a property northwest of Paris. The loss was estimated at 200 dollars, owned by James Collings and Re Kelsey. Mary Wednesday from Coquille, Oregon, reported the incident after a two month stay with Mrs Clyde de Richards.

Mr and Mrs Alfred Grunder return to Boise after the death of Christian Grunder who died on October 17. The family had been staying elsewhere for two weeks following his passing and have now departed for their home.
