50 Farmers Dig To Save Child Fell In Well
Benton Harbor May 10 One year old Dale Carter fell through a 12 inch opening into a well on the Frank Elliott farm. About fifty farmers assisted with scrapers and mining operations to reach the boy twelve feet below the surface. Rescue efforts aimed to reach the child and pierce the well masonry, but his condition remained unknown.

Doctors Operate on Moving Train for Engineer in Kansas
