Wool Values at Lowest Levels In Many Years
Wool values slide to multi year lows with activity limited. Mills show more inquiry in the west while prices for fine merino and combing wools drift down. Regional quotes include Texas 42 cents and Ohio fleece at 16 to 20 cents grease with scoured rates around 37 to 38 cents for white wools. Domestic talk shifts to household antics as a lighthearted ending.

Dangers of a neglected heating plant urged by Holland Institute
The Holland Institute of Thermology warns proceeding into the heating season with an uninspected home heating system risks three dangers: threats to family health from unsatisfactory heating, possible house fires from defects, and costly fuel bills from inefficient operation. It identifies four key parts to inspect each season and notes up to 10 percent heat loss from defective grates.
