Pioneer Anton Madsen Dies After Cancer Operation
Funeral services for Anton Madsen noted in this village obituary. Born in Denmark he emigrated as a youth with his parents to Utah in 1857 settling in Ogden and later near Brigham City. He married Jane Nelson in 1869 and left eleven children, with four predeceasing him. He died after an operation at Salt Lake City’s L D S Hospital on April 19. Interment followed in Bloomington Cemetery.
