George Schick Dies at 93 in Salt Lake City
George Schick 93 died Sunday at 1 pm in a Salt Lake City hospital from age related causes. He lived in Paris for 50 years before moving to Salt Lake City 12 years ago. Born Sept 25, 1853 in Barden Germany he came to the U S in 1875. He leaves a son and two daughters, 16 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 pm in the Paris 2nd ward chapel with burial in Paris cemetery.

Paris Red Cross chapter reports over-subscription of its annual fundraising quota increasing community support. Funds from donors sustain local relief programs and health services throughout the year.

The Paris Chapter of the American Red Cross closed its 1947 drive with a total of 765.05 toward a 600 goal, two days after the planned end date and within one week two days of opening.
