Novelty Theatre Membership Drive Urges Local Support
Manager Jim Hawkes reports only 58 memberships sold out of a required 75 to keep the theater operating. Family tickets at 18 dollars cover five people, equal to one show per month per family, while six months of single admissions would cost eight times as much. If sales lag, memberships may be refunded and only at‑door single tickets offered, risking loss of a local movie house.
