Idaho Declares Cattle Free of Tuberculosis
Idaho will be formally accredited as practically free of tuberculosis in cattle. The designation follows testing in Power and Oneida counties and makes Idaho the first state west of the Mississippi to conclude herd testing with reactors destroyed and ranges largely exempted when no reactors are found. Since 1919 Idaho tested nearly 900000 cattle, with about 4500 reactors culled.
