Edward T Shepherd Funeral in Paris Utah
Edward T Shepherd died at 2 am Saturday June 10 after a long illness from cancer. He leaves a wife eight children and many friends. Born February 27 1862 in Southampton England he served temperance work and missionary duties in England and the Logan Temple. Funeral services were held in Paris Second Ward with many local officials and friends attending.

Celebration Planned for Bear Lake County by Paris Citizens
Citizens of Paris and surrounding settlements plan a grand celebration within 30 days. The railroad committee will set a date after talks with Short Line officials. A parade by brass bands will meet officials at Ovid then proceed to Paris for programs at the Stake Tabernacle. The event will include a free ride on the new route and a day of unity for Bear Lake County.

Paris and St Charles Batter in Doubleheader Upset
Last Saturday Paris and St Charles opened with a 11 to 0 path for St Charles after eight innings. In a return game Paris edged St Charles 9 to 5 as St Charles struggled after the seventh inning. Tomorrow Bennington and Paris meet on the diamond as locals are urged to attend.

Sister Ann Thornock of Bloomington aged pioneer died June 6 1911 at Bloomington Utah. Born June 7 1820 in Whitwick England she emigrated with husband John Thornock and six children aboard the Golconda in 1854 reaching Salt Lake City in October. She left a large family of 9 children 58 grandchildren and 121 great grandchildren. Funeral held June 9 at Bloomington meeting house with speakers James Dunford John Sutton Sr and William Thornock.
