Wonders of Cave Could Become Noted Scenic Attraction

An exploring party led by Prof William Peterson of Logan Utah visited Bear Lake area near St Charles eight miles west. He praised the cave at Bear Lake canyon for scenic and recreational potential and urged development and publicity.

Paris Resident Passes to Reward Mary Stocker Passes

Mary Louise Stocker born July 1862 in Switzerland died at her Paris home Tuesday after a winter illness. Her husband Ulrich Stocker died about five and a half years earlier. Survived by children Mrs. Andrew Barrus Paris Mrs. Robert Consons Park City Utah Mrs. Jesse Latham Blackfoot Mrs. Harvey Thompson and Henry Stocker Paris.

Daily Train For Grace To Gem Valley Line

Daily train service began at Grace on the Gem Valley line through Alfred Stewart and local Lions club members. The move ends tri weekly service and adds refrigeration for merchants requiring extra crew to handle grade and cave walls. Professor Peterson praised the cave formations as explorers observed stalactites and stalagmites and their unique growth.

Water Shortage Hits Grace District Farmers Tighten Irrigation

Grace reports May mean temp 49.9 degrees above normal and 1.02 inches of rain. A Friday downpour pleased farmers while water allotments tighten early in the season. D. P. Maughan warns of a large hay shortage due to scarce water and cold spring conditions.

Hartman Family Arrives for Summer Stay in Paris

The W. D. Hartman family of pharmacists from Paris Drug Company moved into the Seth Budge residence for the summer after arriving Tuesday from Pocatello. The couple’s three sons Edwin Donald and Dealton were winter students at Pocatello High School.
