May 26 marked the Laketown High School graduation at Ward Chapel with eighteen seniors honored. Families from Laketown and Garden City attended, including Weston, Earley, Kearl, and Keetch relatives, while 4-H youths prepared for the Junior Beef Show and local veterans participated in Memorial Day wreaths.
Ogden visitor Thomas Iggy calls on his daughter Mrs Leo Lougee. Doyle Morgan's graduation in Salt Lake City prompts a trip by Mr and Mrs Evan Morgan and Carolyn Morgan. Idaho Falls Ned Miller visits the Albert Millers. Granddaughter born to the Delray Love lands welcomed. Sunday School officers reassigned. Camilla Lyon and Eldeen Hymas receive roles. Local graduation events at USC and Utah State College noted, with numerous Sunday visits and weekend guests from Paris Montpelier Logan and Ogden communities.

It notes a six pound four ounce baby girl born to Mr. and Mrs. Vance Derricott in Rexburg on June 4 and graduates in Logan and Salt Lake City with ties to the Morgan and Derricott families.
In Bloomington a Sunday service led by Bishop Alfred B. Hart included songs and testimonies. Tom Piggott and Ben Bateman left MLA while Bateman became First Counselor and Nyle Nelson secretary of the YMMIA. Primary teachers LaRue Piggott Loona Payne Mary Bateman Saundra Beeman were named. other roles filled by Merrill Ward Tom Piggott and others. Lorraine Christensen is home for the summer after a year of teaching.
Louis Christensen spent a day with his parents in Helper. Mr. Christensen celebrated his 87th birthday. Roy Gleed is in the LDS hospital in Salt Lake City with kidney ailment. Mrs. Clarisea B. Ward is in the LDS hospital in Logan for medical treatment. Zola Chase of Dayton and the Wards of IPrice and Ward Jensen from IPrice visited last week. The Batemans from Mesa Arizona are here for the summer. Reed Piggott narrowly escaped drowning in the ditch in front of the Piggott home. The LeRoy Ward family visited the Earl Petersen home. Marilyn and Carl Petersen joined them for a few days.
The Ovid community reports visitors from Dubois and Springville with the P&er Beck family reunion in the Ovid Chapel on May 30 drawing 123 members. Activities included a MIA outdoor party, a baseball game, and a post event meal. George Johnson graduated from UST in Logan last Saturday.
Bishop Russell Sorenson led a Sunday gathering with Don Jensen presiding. Helen Parker and Ivy Jensen led singing, Carl Beck offered prayer, Charles Nicholls and Lowell Nielson administered the sacrament, and Mitchell Beck gave the benediction. ChristinaePterson and her daughter Wilda visited Colorado Springet with the Jalveson family. The Westons’ two sons stay with the Becks while the Wes tons vacation.

Mark Stuecki Paris admitted May 20 major surgery. Pete Arrostegy Cokeville admitted May 20.
