Tragic Fire Claims Two Young Children Near Verona
A Wyoming family near Verona lost two small children in a house fire last week. The father, working 200 feet away, noticed dense smoke and heat and tried to enter but was thwarted by flames. Authorities report the mother had left to borrow something from neighbors when the fire began. The ex-service father with an artificial leg is said to have struggled to reach the victims. The charred remains were found with little left of either child.
