State Tax Commission members and county assessors discussed valuation approaches and commission rules as Governor Don Samuelson and Boise College president Dr John B Barnes addressed the group. Free Brucellosis Shots To Be Stopped In Bear Lake
Bear Lake County will discontinue all free calf Brucellosis vaccinations by August 1 per County Agent Hyrum Johnson. Across Idaho all counties except Bear Lake Twin Falls Oneida and Bannock require payment for shots. State fee coverage remains for infected herds or those with infection in past three years.

District receives early and final Idaho school apportionments
A warrant for 90522.08 was received by the Bear Lake County School District 38 superintendent as part of the 1967-68 and early 1968-69 apportionment from the Public Income Fund. A second warrant for 4455.21, the final 1967-68 apportionment, was also received based on the State Average Cost Factor of 267.9398 per student. County and district funds typically arrive between July 20 and 31.

LDS Pageant Participants Head to Palmyra
Hllen Spencer daughter of Bishop and Mrs John Spencer left July 18 by bus from Salt Lake City with LDS youths to attend the Hill Cumorah Pageant at Palmyra New York. The group will stay a week for practice and a week of performances and will tour Mormon historical sites before returning August 10. Spencer a Ricks College graduate and former Montpelier employee accompanies the party.
