U P Railroad to Replace Bridge Near Idaho Dam
Union Pacific plans a fall replacement of a 247 foot bridge span over the Snake River near the American Falls dam Idaho. The project aims for only a brief service interruption with a new 962 foot bridge section costing about half a million dollars and involving 880 tons of steel. A special crane setup will address the height challenge while engineers finalize details. Celophane is made from pure wood pulp.
