H C Grice representing Sears & Smith of Portland Oregon is in town reviewing the Idaho Phosphate and Bear Lake Phosphate mines. He says the firm can place a large order enabling 500 to 1000 tons of mine run ore daily. Sears Smith are taking orders from many foreign countries for phosphate.
Bayard Maintains Public Road Progress After Winter
Sutton notes the good road work continues after a year long period. Last winter loyal townsmen hauled gravel to pave two blocks on Main street. The two blocks endured spring weather and are regarded as the two best in the city. Gravel has now reached the borders of Canyon Street.

Community Mourns Death of Mrs Emma Lewis
The funeral for Mrs. Emma Lewis, who died in Soda Springs after an operation, was held in Paris Second Ward chapel. Speakers included Simon Einzinger and David Hymas of Montpelier, with music by the Paris choir. Interment was in the city cemetery. she was born in Switzerland in 1892 and came to Idaho after marriage to Arthur Lewis in 1919.
