Bear Lake County Commissioners Hold January Sessions
Bear Lake County commissioners met January 6 1964 in Paris Idaho with Chairman C N Carlson and members Ward and Lindsay. They discussed recreation development east of Camp Lifton, a proposed launching ramp access road, cannery prospects at Bear Lake, fire insurance program changes, and tentative budgets for 1964. A clerk’s travel to Hawaii and voting precinct registrars were approved. numerous county expenditures and claims were authorized.

County budgets set after long session and new equipment plan
The 1964 budget talks concluded with approval of fixed items and transfers to indigent care. The Board authorized purchases including a portable livestock scale system funded in part by $400 from county funds and a $5,000 allotment for a new weed control spray outfit. A public hearing on budgets will be held February 10 with tentative budgets published later.
