Bear Lake County proceedings outline road survey and budget actions

Nine March of Dimes funded birth defect studies in 1964 progress

The National Foundation March of Dimes reports nine funded birth defect research projects in 1964 show strong progress. Dr Theodore E Boyd notes nearly 5 million dollars was appropriated for research and 51 birth defect treatment centers operate nationwide. The nine studies cover German measles testing, cell abnormalities in Hurler's syndrome, congenital anomalies linked retardation, nervous system defects, immunity and chromosome links, enzyme variations, and heart development in embryos.
