Mr and Mrs Ezra Hoge and Mr and Mrs Wm Lauritzen and Will Stucki are among the sick. The Tunks are in Salt Lake due to their son's illness. The Mattsons with Mrs Bunderson spent Saturday in Logan. Roy Patterson and Blackfoot visitors attended Lars Jensen's services. Mr and Mrs Mirando Rich visited Standley Rich in Montpelier and a chicken dinner was served. Standley Rich left for San Francisco en route to Honolulu for two months. W Smith Hoge hosted a dinner for Mrs Louisa Grimmett who celebrated her 82nd birthday. Mrs Hannah Humpherys was a guest. Mrs W Smith Hoge entertained the Book Review club with a Jefferson Davis life study. Guests included June Hoge Grace Heap Hina Shepherd Nora Hymas.

National campaign to fund infantile paralysis support underway in Bear Lake and beyond. Max Haddock announces goal of 4000 dollars, about 50 cents per capita, with last year’s 2628.84 total and 2319 spent on polio cases locally. SGT. DUDLEY COOK TO BE BURIED AT GARDEN CITY
Final rites for Sgt. Lashbrook Dudley Cook, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Cook, will be held in Garden City. He was born January 27, 1923, and died in 1945 as a waist gunner with the 418th Squadron, 100th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force in Germany. He is survived by parents, two sisters, and three brothers. Burial will be in Garden City cemetery.
