The Idaho wildlife federation wrapped its two day Boise meeting with unanimous officer elections and a proposed legislative program. R G oole was named president for the fourth straight term with Chetter Inwin as vice president. Board members from districts 1 through 6 were elected. Recommendations included licensing guides, county mill levies for recreation, restricting permit transfers, limiting non resident hunters to eight birds weekly, and tightening trout size limits. A game management program and support for rapid land procurement were also approved. Cole was chosen as delegate to the American Wildlife federation meeting in December.

County agents announce that all Bear Lake county cooperators 1939 allotments under the agriculture conservation program have been transmitted to the state agriculture adjustment administration for final analysis and approval. Farmers will soon receive notices and may appeal within fifteen days for readjustments due to data errors. Wheat allotments were set earlier to aid winter wheat farmers in compliance.

The Idaho House approved the five dollar automobile license bill with a six dollar option discussed for senate approval. A companion measure diverting one million dollars in gasoline tax to counties was stalled by amendments.
