Centennial Year Ends as Sleight Pioneer Legacy Highlighted
Thomas Sleight born 1833 in Lincolnshire helped lead Mormon settlement from Genoa Nebraska to Cache Valley Bear Lake and Paris Creek Utah. He built, taught, served as county commissioner, and remained a key figure with nine children and a long line of descendants. His wife Mary Wixom fostered hospitality and church service while the Wixom Family Record Book emerged from their efforts.
