Musical prodigy to entertain Bear Lake junior high students
Attila Galamb, a teenage Hungarian prodigy, will perform for Bear Lake Junior High students on Tuesday December 10 at 8 50 am. He plays drums and many other instruments and has appeared on Ed Sullivan Show and at major venues. He finished high school at age ten and is in his second year of college work.

Alan Robertson heads the Idaho Water Resource Board hydrology branch with Professor John J. Peebles guiding the production of the 600 page Idaho Water Resources Inventory. Government agencies private firms and individuals aided the study. One thousand copies plus 50 large maps will go to cooperators and others can buy sets for 12 cents each.

Former resident dies in Paris area man Enoch C. Pritchard
Enoch C. Pritchard 65 a son of Samuel Pritchard died of lung cancer November 5. Born April 24 1903 in Paris he was survived by wife Laura a son Enoch five grandchildren a sister Alma and brothers Archie and Chester. The Pritchards and a granddaughter visited Paris on the Fourth of July.

Safety Essentials In Use Of Farm Chemicals
About 300 attend two day school on safe chemical use storage and disposal sponsored by the University of Idaho Extension Service and Idaho Department of Agriculture. Speakers urged knowledge and precautions to protect people livestock and avoid illness from leftovers. Larry O Keefe chaired the event, which covered regulations and benefits of chemical use for insect and weed control and updates on the economic poison law. A national summary shows 95 percent of U S farmers used pesticides totaling 480 million in 1964 with 644 million on vegetables including potatoes and nearly 40 million on apples. Agricultural chemicals total 31 million with seven million for new control methods. herbicide use rose in 16 years. About 60 percent of potato acreage treated for weed control in 1966. pesticides sprays dominated livestock use with cattle receiving 85 percent of total value.

Four Month Kindergarten Plans In Paris
A four month kindergarten program for pre schoolers will start Thursday January 2 in Paris. Mrs Glenda Keetch of Dingle will teach as last year with sessions in the Hawkes building on Main Street. To enroll a child must be five by October 15 1968. A meeting for parents students and the teacher is set for Wednesday December 11 at 2 00 pm in Mrs Hirschis Emerson School classroom to discuss curriculum and get acquainted. Santa to Visit Paris on December 14
Delmoine Hansen president of the Bear Lake Rangers says Santa will greet children in the Paris area on Saturday December 14. He will distribute candy and peanuts during a brief stop. A free show for youngsters will be held at the Novelty Theatre with times to be announced after final arrangements.

Emerson Christmas Program Draws Bear Lake Jr High
The annual Emerson Christmas program titled Dreams of Christmas will be held Friday December 13 at 7 30 p m in Bear Lake Junior High School gym. A matinee for junior high students will occur on Thursday. The program features two narrators, songs from grades and band selections. The public is invited to attend.

Accident near Ovid leaves one hospitalized
Bear Lake County Sheriff’s Department investigated a Monday 11:20 am crash half a mile west of Ovid on Idaho 36 in front of the Wesley Jensen home. Terry Hymas and his wife were en route to Rexburg when ice caused their car to slide left and roll into a water-filled ditch. Mrs. Hymas remained hospitalized at Bear Lake Memorial Hospital. the vehicle was a total loss.
